04 and larger the ranges are the same. The X4s head width is nearly an entire cam narrower than that of the C4 so it will fit into hidey-holes where its older sibling can only stand outside and cry. While I was not able to obtain a set of Black Diamond Ultralights for this review using the manufacturer specifications I calculated one would save about 8 ounces half a pound over either the DMM Dragons or the Black Diamond C4s for a full rack.
