Black Diamond With Question Mark Encoding. View - Character encoding. I think the symbols I pasted to explain the error is screwing up the encoding on the forum.
This is the information Ive gathered I save my data as a XML document since I use custom EPiServer properties which need more than one defined value. This is saved as UTF8. The black question mark is when a character is unrecognised.
I keep getting a black diamond shaped symbol with a question mark inside it.
Edit the file in Excel or whatever you are using. Or is it only referred to as the white question mark inside of a black diamond. I researched and followed the steps like putting the database charset utf8 the table too. I feel like Im finally getting the grip on the character encodings question and I also like the idea of looking behind the scenes into what is really going on inside a file or a program or a process or a database a website or anything.
