It tells the story of the Columbia Puget Sound rail line from Renton to Black Diamond built in the early 1880s to access the company town that the Black Diamond Coal Mining Company was developing to mine a seam of coal near the Green River and the lines subsequent operation for many years as the Pacific Coast Railroad until 1970.
